My wife and I held our elopement at the Roanoke Bungalow yesterday. The bungalow and its gardens are beyond peaceful and beautiful. Cheryl is a rockstar host with an incredible eye for detail and style. Her daily breakfast trays were made from scratch, and my wife left with Cheryl's recipe for homemade granola for panna cotta. The rooms were immaculately clean and had everything we needed. We are already planning to return to celebrate our anniversary!

The Roanoke Bungalow was the perfect place to stay after our wedding! We spent the night of our wedding and the day after there, and it was absolutely AMAZING. Every detail was so thoughtfully curated, and the hosts’ attention to detail made our stay feel incredibly special. Breakfast was delicious and such a treat after a busy wedding weekend. We especially loved sitting outside in the beautiful September weather, reading through our guest book and cards—it was the perfect way to reflect on our special day. The ambience of the bungalow was cozy, clean, and so inviting. It was truly the perfect spot to relax and unwind. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and highly recommend the Roanoke Bungalow to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable getaway!

Stayed for three nights and had my wedding in the backyard earlier this month. Throughout the whole planning process, Cheryl was so helpful in answering all of my many questions about the space and she was so incredibly kind and gracious when we arrived, making us feel so welcomed and right at home. The space is absolutely gorgeous and a great location as well. We walked into the downtown Manteo area a few times quite easily. Breakfast everyday was so yummy and I just kept commenting how the rooms smelled so good! Both showers (indoor and outdoor) are very spacious and beds were super comfy as well. Can’t wait to come back again!!

This beautiful place can only be described as an oasis that takes you to a different place and time. My fiancé and I spent a weekend here a month before our rehearsal dinner and we didn’t want to leave! It was the most cozy and inviting sweet stay. We cannot wait to return in a few short weeks!

We had our wedding at the Roanoke Bungalow and we could not be happier. We searched and searched for a small venue that would give us the right feel and the Bungalow nailed it! We were able to create a perfect evening for our 30 guests. The owner, Cheryl, was super accommodating and has put a ton of time and effort into making this a magical place. It was a great place to get ready, take photos, and have a ceremony and reception. And the next day's breakfast was delicious! Thank Cheryl for making our special day phenomenal!

What a wonderful place to stay. Everything about the bungalow was wonderful and magical. When we arrived and were greeted by Cheryl and a charcuterie board and champagne on the beautiful covered porch. The landscaping was beautiful and the little fountain gurgling we didn't want to leave. Then we went into our beautifully decorated room. All the little extra touches, hand made soap, coffee, cookies and even mints in a little birdbath made it so special. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud and the breakfast the next morning was out of the world. Unfortunately we only stayed one night but will be back again. This is a perfect place for a get away weekend and there was another bedroom if you want to bring another couple. Cheryl was a wonderful host. I want to go back in the fall when we can set by the fire place in the covered porch area.

This is a perfect place to get away from the big cities. It's on a gorgeous small island with a tight community. The owner Cheryl is very welcoming and put a lot of love and attention into the place to make sure everyone has the best experience. You have your own privacy and at night the atmosphere changes completely. The outdoor shower is amazing first thing in the morning. Followed by a healthy filling beautiful breakfast. We will definitely be back.
