We had such a wonderful experience at the White Doe Inn! The property is absolutely beautiful, full of charm, and even more special in person. Tonia was incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful, and took the time to answer all of our questions and make us feel completely at home. The rooms are beautiful and you can tell how much care goes into every detail. It's also in a great location. We loved it so much that we are now planning to have our wedding there! Five stars!

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights for a short getaway primarily to see the Lost Colony Play. The White Doe Inn is in a very convenient location for the play, and all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. You can walk, drive or borrow one of their bikes to downtown Manteo for some great restaurants or just walk the boardwalk along the waterfront. Happy hour each day was a nice touch with wine and cheese and a great way to meet your fellow guests. The breakfast each day was also very good and not just you regular bacon and eggs. Our room was very nice and the king size bed was very comfortable. Our room had a separate small TV room in case one wants to sleep and the other wants to watch TV. Our room had a big clawfoot tub with vintage exposed pipes. Pretty cool to look at but If you have mobility issues you may want to ask if other rooms have a different setup. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate to recommend to our friends.

Our stay exceeded every expectation. Tonia and Dave are wonderful hosts. They are warm, friendly, and so helpful, and they have created such a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. The inn is beautiful, comfortable, and in the perfect location, just a short walk to the shops, restaurants, and everything downtown Manteo has to offer. Breakfast was truly the highlight of our stay! Every morning we couldn't wait to see what Chef Tonia had created, and every breakfast was fresh, creative, and absolutely delicious. Happy hour was another favorite and such a fun way to unwind, enjoy great food, and gather with the other guests to share stories after a day of exploring. One of the things we loved most was how Tonia and Dave naturally brought everyone together and made the experience feel so personal. Located in the historic section of Manteo, NC ,by far an excellent B&B. The owner’s Dave and Tonia have done a terrific job putting together a memorable event during your stay. From personalized check-in, providing a house tour to familiarize you with your surroundings, always available homemade cookies in the lobby and homemade ice cream sandwiches in the fridge, you immediately know your stay is going to be one you will always remember. Indulging you in a plated two course breakfast made fresh daily by chef Tonia to afternoon wine and an appetizer and always available speciality coffee teas and coco you will find the innkeepers have gone above and beyond. If you’re the fire pit lover, you can always make homemade s’mores. The house is very clean and tastefully decorated with a garden environment for your outdoor pleasure. Daily room service adds to your return to your comfortable and relaxing room. I could go on, but you just have to experience it and I would strongly suggest if you’re reading this and your travels take you near Manto, NC I would highly recommend staying at the White Doe Inn.

I want to start by saying this review is long overdue. We’ve been coming to the White Doe Inn for several years. The hosts, Dave and Tonia, have made our stay for the last two years quite enjoyable. The upgrades that they have put in are very pleasing. The breakfasts are delicious, and quite often we don’t need lunch. Afternoon happy hour is a delightful event, and the cookies that are always available hit the sweet spot every time. Most of all, we appreciate the family-type atmosphere that we have experienced. Whether relaxing in our room, in the first floor living room, or in the beautiful garden areas around the property, we enjoy a feeling of peace and contentment. We look forward to many more visits in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay at The White Doe! Rooms were clean and very comfortable. Breakfast each morning was outstanding. They also have happy hour 4-5 with wine and light snacks. Awesome outside area with swings and couches. Also have corn hole set up and 2 fire pits. We will 100% be back for another stay.

My husband and I did a long weekend here for our wedding anniversary, and it was such a great stay! The house was beautiful and the breakfasts were very good. We especially loved the fresh-baked cookies that were always available by the front door! We also really enjoyed using the bikes provided by the inn to explore the island. We would definitely recommend to anyone interested!

Our 4th return visit to the White Doe Inn. Celebrating our Anniversary at this special gem on the Outer Banks. From easy check in to the delightful ambience of soothing music throughout the property including happy hours with scrumptious food. Breakfast is a delight as well! The rooms are cozy and well managed . This beautiful vintage home has something for everyone whether you just want to sit in a rocking chair all day or need the place to stay while you explore the towns and coastline . The owners Tonia & Dave are attentive & gracious ensuring our stay was nothing less than wonderful!

What a fantastic way to spend our Thanksgiving! The stay was worth it just for the food! Tonia kept us well fed with multi-course breakfasts daily and a wonderful Thanksgiving feast. We had a great time visiting with other guests at the Inn and spending the holidays learning about their adventures. Scratch cookies were left out for guests and included chocolate chip and oatmeal. Delicious! We stayed in the Turrett bedchamber with a wraparound balcony, fireplace, and updated bathroom. Very cozy. Free street parking was ample right outside the Inn. We will visit again!
