What can I say except WOW!! Every single thing about our week long Stay at Colington Creek Inn was perfect. Dawn and Darold are the best hosts. The Inn was spotless and the gourmet breakfasts were outstanding! Every night you will get a special treat. Everything is homemade too! The beds are so comfortable we slept like babies. Dawn gave us great insider tips for our stay in the Outer Banks, some were tourist stops and several were off the beaten path. We met some incredible people like Casey at McPhersons Mill. You have to go see him too. The other guests were equally as nice and helpful. Patti and Pamela sent us to June Street to look for conch shells. The Inn is the perfect central location to go north, south, east and west to find things to do. The cost was very reasonable for everything included. You will not find a better place to stay in the Outer Banks. You will be treated like an old friend from the minute you step foot in the Inn. We genuinely miss them already and we've only been gone 24 hours. Ill stop here because I could go on and on about the wonderful experience we had. We are already planning our return trip.

My husband and I spent five wonderful days at Colington Creek Inn. Dawn and Darold make you feel welcome instantly. The Inn is so thoughtfully designed and decorated with every possible need addressed. They go out of their way to accommodate you. The breakfasts were delicious and creative. They are a great team in the kitchen! The rooms were spotless and well appointed in every way. It was our first time in the OBX and we could not have chosen a better place to stay. Dawn was very helpful with suggestions on what to do and see with your day, and we could always count on her for a great recommendation for a meal! Thank you Dawn and Darold. We look forward to our return.

Haven’t visited since 2016 when my experience was another typical beach town restaurant serving over priced poorly cooked coastal seafood. I live here and notice the cars keep filling the parking lot. So with ten years of serious attention to culinary arts and an open mind we tried this Outer Banks Icon again. It was wonderful. The chef had a goat cheese appetizer that was ridiculously complex and joyful. Garlic, olives, tarragon, warm goat cheese, caramelized fennel? I had monk fish with crab, served with a flavored mash potatoes and asparagus. Seafood cooked with respect. The wine list is respectable and priced generously. Our dessert, shared like appetizers, was Toll House Pie warmed and topped with ice cream. Colington Cafe is on my list of Restaurants to take my visitors when they want to dine out.

We stayed 4 nights. Completely delightful. We were the only guests for the 1st two nights so we got all the attention and Darold and Dawn made us feel so welcome. The inn is minutes from the beach parking, mini golf, Wright Brothers, nature trails, dunes etc. The rooms look out on the sound with bird sightings. The B room was very comfortable and the &Bs were all very special. Highly recommended!

Darold and Dawn are amazing host ! Clean rooms top to bottom, great people great snacks The view is amazing and atmosphere relaxing. You have to come and stay and experience Collington Harbor culture with the luxury of outerbanks beaches You won’t be disappointed !!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed an overnight stay at Colington Creek Inn in mid August 2025. We would highly recommend to anyone an overnight or extended stay at CCI! Our room was lovely, clean and comfortable and the owners cooked and cared for their guests with the best blend of hospitality, respect of guest privacy and friendliness.

Dawn and Darold were very welcoming from the moment we arrived. They had great dinner recommendations, and served a delicious and filling breakfast. Great location with lovely views, and no pet policy was great for our allergies.

I seriously can’t say enough about this place as well as the owners. We loved everything about it and can’t wait to return. They made us so comfortable and we felt like family. They were so kind, caring, friendly and accommodating. The home is spotless, and the amenities list is far beyond what I expected. It is smoke and dog free, which made the B&B so peaceful and clean. We have made life long friends now, and we look forward to returning as soon as possible. Thank you Dawn and Darold for being the best hosts ever ?

Headline should read "Exceptional Service!!" What an awesome gem off the tourist path in the Outer Banks. Literally walking distance from Wright Brothers Memorial and you can hear the water lapping against the newly constructed seawall that encompasses this cute little bed and breakfast. There are 5 gorgeous and surgically clean rooms in this home. Each with its own theme, all have a water view of some sort. The hosts are amazing, welcoming and helpful. Food is fantastic! We enjoyed two breakfasts during our stay- they accommodate your dietary needs. We always felt welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our stay- we will be back! 10/10 worth your time and money!

We can’t say enough about our stay here. Dawn and Daryl are such amazing hosts. They listen and give tips on live music and restaurants which turned out to be exceptional— The Colington Cafe and Saltbox! So wonderful! Their breakfasts are second to none! Such a relaxing few days!
