This vacation was okay until the barking began. We have been enduring yelps and barks. Messages to the hotel about this are being ignored. They don't pick up the phone either. Poor service. The walls are thin. This isn't a good choice because they allow dogs and then do NOTHING when those dogs ruin other PAYING CUSTOMERS' vacations. Do yourself a favor and go where they care!

This is a bummer. The place is old. Which I was ok with. But the photos online are not what is going on here. No office. Takes forever for them to contact you back after reaching out. The pool is so gross. It is “open”, but very swamp-like. They have “allowed” us to use the pool facility at another one of their properties a mile away. Which was debacle trying to get the gate code for. The room had to have a dehumidifier brought in. The tub will not drain without holding the drain open manually. So we couldn’t use the shower for two days. I will not be staying here again. I paid a lot of Mo eu when I could have paid a little bit more for nicer place. The bed has seen better days. Mattress is old and worn out. Overall it has not been a very good experience. Staff has tried some things to make it better. And I do appreciate the effort. But we are not really happy with it not being what was presented to us. Beware of these reviews! They’re not lying!

Seediness of motels are prevalent and sadly expected, but but BUT Sea Gull Motel of Hatteras, NC has proven to be, at least this last minute stay, an exceptional motel among her motel peers!! Let's "MMGA" Make Motels Great Again LOL!!!

The room is clean. We like the online check-in. You don't have to fool around with a front desk or any annoying employees. You pay online, then they send you a room number and a code to get in. Simple. The location is spectacular. The lot is well lit, and seems safe. Our only complaint no blackout curtain, to block outside light at night.

I did purchase insurance through expedia.com and they said they couldn't do anything that I had to reach out to your company I tried to reach out to your company more than once and nothing was ever handled. I know you're sorry that I had a bad experience but I didn't have any experience since I wasn't able to get out there and yes I had a bad experience because I lost $375 . Even though I purchased insurance by Expedia they said that I should have been covered and they tried to reach out to you guys and they can never get a response from you I tried more than once through Expedia and spoken with them they said I had to reach out to you to try and get my money back. So basically the ball's in your court. I know probably nothing's going to come of this but just guarantee even if I get my money back or even if I don't I just think that you should treat your customers a little bit better and maybe have somebody monitor your phone's better so people can talk to you guys and get things situated and handled for cancellations.. instead of waiting weeks or months to have a response from you guys.

Stayed in room 111. It’s in VERY bad shape from weather and bad guests. If you stayed in rooms towards the pool or the drive, those seemed to be in better shape. The carpet burned our feet to walk on. The previous guests stole the remote to the TV. The facilities would not replace it. Only Big Bang Theory on full blast or nothing. Queue laugh track from hell. Bathroom was clean, beds were clean, has all basics. The AC unit barely works so the facility put in a broken window unit that is rusted through and blows only hot air and makes it so everyone can see in the room. We used the painting on the wall to cover the window. Please get rid of the carpet in this room and just replace the window unit with a slightly used one. A universal remote is like 11$? Location is great. We stayed in other rooms and they were great. We requested a room move, not a fat chance. Won’t be coming back. Sad because we have sent many friends here but I guess management changed. If you get the rooms toward the pool, it’s exactly all you need and clean and unabused.

This was not a good experience. When we arrived, we realized that there was no office or employee to assist. We had to call the phone number to obtain room information and door code. There was NO shower curtain and had to go to the Dollar General before taking a shower. The AC unit was old and did not work properly. It made a terrible noise all night. Due to the double windows having one large blind, there was no way to close the blind at night since it would cover the AC unit. Therefore, privacy was an issue and the exterior light shined into the room and affected sleep. There was one sheet on the bed and no other linens. That is not a bad thing since I questioned the cleaning of the linen and the room in general. But, as I looked around the room I did notice that there was an ironing board. Wow, I thought this room needs a lot more than an ironing board. The trash can was overflowing when we arrived and two days later it had not been emptied and was more than overflowing. For the price we paid it was VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!! I will never stay at the Sea Gull ever again and would NOT recommend it to anyone. THE WORST MOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!

It's a motel. It's a PET FRIENDLY motel. Right on the beach. Nothing fancy. Was there for the ?beaches ?. But ok place for a couple and there ?dog's 2 is the limit for pets. Did I mention it's right on the beach. It's also nice that I can stay for a day or two or more. If you're staying more than a few days, I recommend bringing extra bath towels and toiletries. No on site housekeeping

Good amenities, good lighting, trash cans and bags, coffee maker and coffee, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, refrigerator, microwave, table and chairs, tv, shelves for bags, hangers, bath mat, desk and chair, provided soap, ice, tissues and toilet paper. Room could use some attention. Door sticks and very hard to close. Room could use a deep cleaning. Tub would not drain correctly. Mattresses were very poor and need replacing. Key code was convenient and Kees was responsive to questions. We did not use the pool but it was nice to know it was there is we wanted to. Enjoyed sitting on the provided seats outside. Enjoyed easy beach access.

The room was clean. For the price, we were very pleased. Hot showers. Enjoyed the nice comforter and coffee. Our only complant is the beds. They were awful. Other than that, we enjoyed being there. The ability to bring a pet and enjoy that gorgeous view is wonderful. Thank you so much
