???? Allergy Warning — Strong Bleach Smell and Cleanliness Concern Unfortunately, we had to cancel our reservation at this property after entering the room. As soon as I walked in, there was an extremely strong bleach/chemical smell. I have a bleach allergy, so this immediately became a serious health concern for me. ??We also encountered a cockroach at the property. Unfortunately, I did not take a photo, but I want to be honest about what we experienced.?? I explained my concern, but because we had booked through Booking.com, I was told that there was not much they could do because it was a third-party reservation. I understand that we booked through a third-party website, but when it comes to a guest’s health and an allergy concern, I believe it should still be taken seriously. For me, health comes before money. Because of these concerns, we decided not to stay and canceled the reservation. We then chose to stay at Spark by Hilton, which was a much better option for us. I am sharing this review especially for anyone with allergies or chemical sensitivities. If you have a bleach or chemical allergy, please be very careful and ask questions about the cleaning products and room conditions before booking. ?? ??I also noticed that some information online may not accurately represent the current condition of this property. I hope management will consider investing in improvements to the rooms, cleanliness, and pest control. A few meaningful improvements could make a big difference for future guests.?? I did not cancel because of the booking website itself. I canceled because the condition of the room and the strong chemical smell were not something I could safely tolerate.

The stay was great. Check in was easy. Rooms were very clean. Had a problem with the fridge in the room, as soon as we let a hotel staff know , we had a new one in 5 min.! Short walk to the beach, right over the sand dune. We had a great time. Breakfast was also good and hot every morning . Will be back!

I booked a stay here during my road trip along the coast and it turned out to be a bit of a mixed bag. The absolute best part about this property is the incredible location because you step right out of the building and onto the beautiful sandy beach. It is also super close to some awesome historic landmarks and great local spots to grab food after a long afternoon in the sun. My room itself was decently clean and basic, but you can definitely tell the building is getting a little older and could use some updates to the bathroom fixtures and carpets. I also noticed the walls are pretty thin, so I woke up a couple of times during the night from the sound of people walking down the hallway. It is a completely fine, budget-friendly option if your main goal is to spend every waking hour directly by the ocean, but do not expect a high-end luxury resort experience.

No beach view, hassle checking in, long walk over a dube to get to beach, air conditioning in room barely worked. Breakfast was good though. Very disappointed. Update: front desk was able to make things right from check in. I think if they would build a deck off the breakfast area out back & get rid of the dune so you can see & hear the ocean this would make this hotel a lot better.

Throughly enjoyed our stay here. We typically stay at Marriots and this was our first time staying at a Days Inn. For the price, quality, and location it was such a steal. The location was prime with the beach was literally at our doorsteps, any within driving distance you could hit up any popular restaurants, the state park, museums and more. The rooms we're clean and beds comfy. The staff were amazing and super kind and the free breakfast was pretty solid. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay over Easter weekend. Would be considering other Days Inn after our stay here ?

The staff are all very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are nice and clean and the beds are comfortable. The lobby is very cozy with a large fireplace. Breakfast is included and they have a washer and dryer on site. You are just a few steps from the ocean and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great location to walk out the hotel to the beach. Stayed once in the summer and once in the winter, loved it both times. Most recently came on a cold weekend in January. Room was clean and warm as soon as we checked in. Beds are comfy and the shower head makes it feel like the water is hugging you. Every room has a covered balcony with seats and a table to relax outside. The staff are very nice and helpful. The breakfast had delicious hot food.

It was one of the most charming hotel stays I’ve ever experienced. The moment I entered this property I was greeted by Olga who was the manager. I asked her was it possible for an early check in and she said, “yes”. The room, which was assigned and ready was cozy with modern updates. The bed was firm and everything functioned perfectly. I only with the television was larger. The lobby area had a rustic look and the free breakfast was okay. I really enjoyed the complementary hot cider and cookies each evening. I plan to stay here again when I am back in the area. By the was the sunrise was beautiful from beach steps away for the hotel

I had a great time here! The service was friendly and excellent, and checking in was a breeze. The staff actually upgraded my room for the same price as a normal room, which I was not expecting. The actual room was very comfortable, spacious, and the overall cleanliness was fantastic! The value for the money was also great! I would highly recommended this place to anyone travelling within the area, whether it is for a short break like I did, or for any extended stays.

Great stay for the money. Not your box hotel stay. Take a trip back in time. Old in cool way and clean. Located right on the water awesome sunrise. Rooms were small but who wants to stay in a room when you at the beach except to sleep and it did fine for that. Located by good food as well. Don’t expect a new hotel but the experience is worth it.
