Cape Pines Motel offers a clean and affordable alternative to pricier accommodations in the Outer Banks, praised for its convenient location and friendly staff. While some reviewers note minor wear and tear, the overall experience is consistently positive with many returning guests.
Rooms have everything you need for a basic stay, and they're clean overall. The beds are not good, mattress is nothing but springs and I had constant shoulder, neck, hip pain, so didn't sleep. Do upgrade this for the price please. The walls have ok soundproofing, and there is some wear and tear, but it's best to get a second floor end unit. Location is fine right in the middle of Buxton with grocery, food, beach, etc. very near. Staff are nice, front desk is open 9 am-9 pm, checkout is 10 am. I didn't use the pool but honestly it still has a motel vibe so I was cautious for safety.
I recently stayed at Cape Pines Motel, and it was a great experience from start to finish. The location is perfect, just minutes from the beach and close to everything you need while still being quiet and relaxing. The rooms were very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. You can tell the owners take pride in keeping the property in excellent condition. The beds were comfortable, and everything we needed was provided. What really stood out was the customer service. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with recommendations for local spots and things to do. If you’re looking for a simple, clean, and well-run place to stay in the Outer Banks, this is definitely a great choice. I would absolutely stay here again.
It was about 18 years since the last time I stayed here and it was even better than the last time which was absolutely awesome. The kitchenette room that I stayed in was super clean and super comfortable. I had no issues adjusting to the awesome mattress the first night of my stay. The staff is amazing, friendly and really attentive to your needs. I plan to come back yearly and can't say enough about Cape Pines motel. Thank you for making my stay as wonderful as it was, you all are great!
Stayed here for the first time in November and I really enjoyed my stay. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. The place was very clean and well care for. I would not hesitate to stay here again. You can tell they work hard to maintain the property and they appreciate your business. I plan to stay here again in the future. I loved being able to park right outside the room. The kitchen was well stocked. Can't wait for my next visit!
I'm not sure how I ever missed this place, but I'm so glad we found it. With the home rentals rising as they are, it's become almost unaffordable for most people to stay in the outer Banks anymore. This little motel is very affordable, very clean and in a super convenient location. They're booking process was simple, the staff is friendly and there's even a cute little kitty cat that lives outside?. You can tell it's been a while since the motel was updated, but it's been well maintained and again it's really clean which is very important to me. We will definitely be staying here again!
Dipti was a most gracious and kind hostess. The rooms are large in size and quiet. Our stay was perfect as the location allowed for easy access to the lighthouse and beach. Five stars!
We had to reschedule our trip twice, once due to a work conflict and again because of Hurricane Erin. Cape Pines Motel was incredibly kind and accommodating through it all. It is a family run business and the owners are soooo sweet. We stayed in a suite with a kitchenette that fit our family of five perfectly. There was plenty of space, and the room was very clean and tidy. As were the linens. The beds were also so comfy. The location was also great! We didn't bring our dogs but they even allow pets. The only issue we noticed was an unpleasant odor that seemed to come from the AC unit. It was noticeable but not enough to overshadow the many positives of our stay. We truly appreciated the hospitality, cleanliness, and excellent price, and we’d be happy to stay again.
Cape Pines Motel has become my favorite place to stay when I visit the Outer Banks. It's an independent, family run place. The rooms are clean and well appointed, perfect for a romantic getaway or a family vacation. The location is perfect for access to beaches, cute cafe's (check out the Orange Blossom Cafe just down the street!), and several restaurants. There is a sparkling pool in the courtyard and the property offers both cottage style rooms as well as suites with 1-2 bedrooms. The beds are comfortable and parking is super easy.
We loved our stay here! The rooms were very clean, the staff was super friendly, and the location was right in the middle of all our favorite places. We were on our honeymoon and had our sweet lab, Georgia, with us and we will definitely be back!
My son and I visit multiple times a year to fish Buxton and Hatteras. Staff is friendly and accommodating, rooms are exceptionally clean, and the price is a great value. We’ll continue to see yall 4 or 5 times a year!
