My family always has a most wonderful time here! Truly a “home away from home”- yet on vacation!!! Couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else

Overall, we had a wonderful 3-night stay. I rarely spring for the ocean view room, but I felt it was entirely worth it to be able to sit outside the room and just look at the ocean, whenever we wanted. It was just what we needed! Here are the items I would call out, just so you won't be surprised: The beach has been significantly eroded, nearly all the way back to the front-most buildings. It is incredible to compare pictures of this place even a year ago with today! But this means swimming in the ocean out front of the property is not really feasible. You can walk a few minutes south on the beach past the sandbags if you want to swim. But I never really knew whose property I was sitting on, so it felt a little weird to be doing. If you're looking for a proper beach day, drive 15 minutes to Frisco Beach. The erosion and sandbags did create some interesting terrain. There is concrete/tile/rebar wreckage of what looks to be a pool behind the sandbags. It has created some tidal pools, which might be interesting to poke around if you have some good water shoes. The pool and hot tub were a big hit with guests. The jacuzzi functionality in the hot tub seemed to take a while to get bubbles going, and they never quite worked their way around the whole hot tub. But it was hot and refreshing anyway so I didn't mind much. Our room was nice and cozy. The bed was very comfortable, and though I could tell some of the fixtures were older, they all worked, and everything was clean. The room also had one of those single-cup coffee pots, so we decided to bring our own coffee and coffee pot from home to make more coffee at once, and to our desired strength. I would also bring bottled water for this too, if you're not accustomed to the taste of the tap water. On that note, we were able to drink the tap water using Brita water bottle with built-in filter. It really minimizes the sulfur taste and smell. I would ask the front desk for a clothes line and clothespins, or bring your own, so you will have space to dry your things outside of your room. Some rooms have it already, some don't. The room does have the advertised TV, Roku TV, and Spectrum app, but the measured Internet speed was

Even with the beach erosion that is occurring, we loved our stay here. The room was clean and perfect for our needs. The staff was all welcoming and helpful. We appreciated the communication through texting. They were all amazing and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Everything from top to bottom was outstanding. The room was exactly as advertised. The location was spectacular as it was on the water and walkable to some great restaurants and other conveniences. We didn't expect to use the pool and hot tub but we did because it was in great shape and our kids had a blast. Lastly, and most importantly, we are very grateful to the staff. We left behind a VERY expensive personal item. They reached out by email, text, and call to let us know. Unfortunately we were too far away to come retrieve the item so they dropped everything to get the item to a post office and ship the item directly to us via certified mail. Truly wonderful people here!

Lighthouse View Oceanfront is a special place. We went before the beach nourishment in 2026, and we had a lovely time despite not being able to swim in the ocean in front of our cottage. The pool and spa were a great addition to the clean, well-stocked, modern oceanfront cottage. You cannot beat the ocean views; you won’t find a place closer to the ocean! Abby and her staff were helpful, kind, and friendly. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. My 4 kids had an absolute blast, and we will definitely be back again.

Staff are very helpful, friendly and professional. Great place to stay on beach. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Kitchenette was good and enough cooking supplies, plates and coffee maker available.

My husband and I stayed here a few months ago and we loved it so much we decided to come back again. We called to make sure everything was ok due to the storm surge and the loss of several homes nearby but the staff assured us they were OK and the grounds were fine. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived, the grounds were beautifully kept and the rooms were clean as usual. We will definitely be coming back again!

We spent two nights ( 9/5 - 9/6/2025) at this wonderful hotel. We had an upstair unit with an oceanview The room was nicely decorated in a modern day beach vibe, the beds were comforable , towels were fluffy and absorbent. We slept with the windows open and was lulled to sleep by the sound of the sea. We also used the spa and pool. Perfect I hope to return, and tell everyone about this gem of a family business

We stayed there in April, August, and September, with guests. The view was amazing, the pool was great, and check in and out were convenient. Seeing the wildlife, including dolphins, was a treat. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return.

This place is fantastic!! We stayed a few nights here prior to our check in at a house further up north! This place was wonderful!! The room was clean!!!!!! We stayed on the third floor and had an ocean front king bed room….it was super comfortable and honestly the 3 flights of steps was not bad! The staff swept them daily and the parking was very convenient! Sergio the maintenance guy helped us into our room d/t a minor malfunction with our keyless entry! Shoutout to Sergio!! Did I mention …. The room was CLEAN?!?! (Shout out to Caty in Housekeeping) We will definitely visit here again! We enjoyed the quiet and calmness that Buxton had to offer!
